How will you grow the economy in Prince George’s County?
Prince George’s County has the talent, location, and institutions to become a national leader in innovation. My goal is to create an economy that attracts major industries while also empowering local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
By aligning our education system, workforce development, and economic policies, we can build a thriving ecosystem centered on bioscience, healthcare, technology, and emerging industries like quantum computing. The goal is simple: create more high-quality jobs so residents can build successful careers right here at home.
How will you ensure residents benefit from economic growth
Economic development should create opportunity for the people who already live here. That means connecting residents directly to the jobs created by new industries through workforce training, apprenticeships, and certification programs.
Our goal is not just to attract companies — it’s to ensure our residents are prepared to work in those industries and build long-term careers.
What is your vision for making Prince George’s County an innovation hub?
My vision is to build what I call the East Coast Silicon Valley — a regional center for technology, bioscience, healthcare, and advanced research.
Prince George’s County is uniquely positioned with access to federal agencies, universities, research institutions, and a highly educated workforce. By strategically attracting innovation-driven companies and investing in infrastructure and workforce pipelines, we can become a destination for the industries shaping the future.

What role does technology play in your economic strategy?
Technology is the foundation of the modern economy. My administration will promote investment in advanced technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, bioscience, and data infrastructure.
By building partnerships between government, universities, and private industry, we can position Prince George’s County at the forefront of innovation while creating thousands of high-paying jobs.
How will your plan support small businesses?
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, yet many feel left out of development opportunities. My administration will prioritize policies that make it easier for local businesses to grow and succeed.
This includes improving access to county contracts, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and ensuring that major development projects include opportunities for local entrepreneurs. When small businesses thrive, the entire community benefits.
